Picasso´s paintings helped people to see physical objects in a new way. Picasso was a genius artist who painted many new kinds of pictures. Picasso excelled in art even as a child but his school grades in other subjects were not very good.
His parents´ influence was very important in helping him become a great artist. His father actively supported Picasso who showed early talent in art. His father recognized Picasso´s gift early on and encouraged him.
Everyone has a different talent and abilities. One person may excel in one area but may lag behind in others.
Do not scorn your child for what he or she fails to do well.
Instead praise him or her for what he or she does do well.
Rather than hoping your child will excel in everything he or she does, find out what your child is good at and foster that talent.
